Our Company History
Churchill Stateside Group is the result of the combination of two companies with deep roots in their respective industries. Churchill Financial formed in 2005 and Stateside Securities formed in 2004 joined forces in 2010 to create the Churchill Stateside Group of companies in order to provide a full service array of debt and equity solutions to the affordable housing and renewable energy markets. However, our history runs much deeper than the date of our founding given that our CEO has been a thought leader in affordable housing since the mid 1980’s.
Building upon the strengths of our seasoned staff, we obtained approval to be a national USDA RD 538 lender followed by approval as a HUD FHA MAP and LEAN lender. We also gained approval to be a Ginnie Mae multifamily seller/servicer and with the acquisition of Stateside Securities have added the syndication of Federal and State LIHTC, Federal Historic Tax Credits, Federal Energy Credits and bond underwriting. CSG has proprietary institutional funds for both construction and permanent financing.
Over the years we’ve proudly played an integral part in the debt and equity financing of tens-of-thousands of affordable housing units and hundreds of millions of dollars of renewable energy installations across the United States.

Founded in 2009, CSS offers its clients private placement activities, generally focused on Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LHTC), Renewable Energy Tax Credits, and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits created through Federal and State programs to incent the creation of housing, clean energy and historic preservation.
